Land Contamination and Pollution Studies

Studies are undertaken to identify the level of contaminants and pollutants in industrial, agricultural or domestic sites. Applications include:

• property purchase

• site development

• identification of sources of contaminants in rivers, lake and ponds

• determination of the provenance of airborne dust

Methods frequently used during our investigations include:

• interpretation of air photographs and other remotely sensed data

• library and archive searches

• field sampling

• laboratory analysis

• database comparison

Maximum Value Tests and Mean Value Tests can be performed for most contaminants, and compared with published Soil Guideline Values and Advisable Limits.
